Circulation of Qi

Lesson 02 – Circulation of Qi in the Four Directions (Replay of Live Qigong Class on Zoom )

This is a replay of a live Qigong session taught by myself, Dr Janice Tucker on how you can help promote the circulation of Qi. I am the founder of the Space To Relax Programme of Qigong video lessons. I’m also a practitioner of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. You can join my live classes on Zoom every Tuesday at 10am and Thursday at 4pm Irish time. These lessons will continue for the duration of Covid-19 and until I can return to my face to face Acupuncture/Chinese Medicine clinics.

In this video you’ll learn a simple Qigong method to encourage the circulation of Qi in the four directions. These directions are up, down, in and out. This has the benefit of helping the Qi to flow in an unobstructed way throughout your body. Many students report that this results in a reduction in pain and discomfort. This Qigong method can also relieve emotional unease like anxiety, pent up anger, frustration and fear.

You’ll also learn a little about the Qigong stance (more detail here) and Abdominal Breathing (more detail here). Also refer back to Lesson 1 of the live online Qigong classes for more information about the breath and Qigong stance.
